Welcome to Purple Pink Pig! My name is Valerie. I am a stay-at-home mother of a little sunshine (Little Soi I will call her), a lover of all things crafty and creative.
Way before we had Little Soi my husband and I have been wondering on alternatives we would have to provide our kids the best as parents. I'm not talking of the best boutique clothes or most expensive toys and kids gears; but to ensure we give our little one quality time, strong moral foundation and a blessed bright start-up in life. So we made the decision and I quited my professional engineering career and started the most rewarding and fun journey ever, I became a stay-at-home mom. One full of dreams, goals and creativeness.
I began researching child development and I became inspired by the idea that kids won't act out as much and grow up feeling confident and accepted if they spend even a short amount of quality time with Mom or Dad, doing activities that are truly interesting and challenging, such as pouring sand, water, or rice, or even making a simple craft. I was amazed on how early Little Soi became aware of her surroundings, she is a well-behaved little toddler approaching the so much feared 2 years old, and Papa J and Mama V could not be happier with such a blessing for a girl. I have devoted myself to the pursuit of worthwhile activities. I research and come up with projects that help them learn, work on fine motor skills, social skills, or are just plain fun. Even though she is not to the school age yet, I think it is important to start nurturing that little mind early on!
I have surrender my heart and family to our Father and try my best to follow this path, the path I'm so confident He has designed for our family.
